Fayose insists on plots to dethrone Olubadan—’Keep your fingers crossed’

    Published on

Former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose has insisted that the Oyo State Government led by Seyi Makinde is plotting to remove the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rahidi Adewolu Ladoja.

Fayose raised the alarm on Sunday, alleging that the move to remove the King would start this week.

But the governor and Ladoja disagreed with Fayose, describing the claim as unfounded, stating that it was a baseless rumour.

However, in a post on his official X handle on Tuesday, Fayose urged those doubting his claims to keep their fingers crossed as events unfold.

“Those who are still in doubt Governor Seyi Makinde’s plot to remove the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rahidi Adewolu Ladoja, should just keep their fingers crossed and follow unfolding events”, he said.

Buttressing his claim, Fayose said after denying the plot, the state government is now accusing Olubadan of “plotting to impeach Governor Makinde”.

He said the government was also “releasing statements accusing the Olubadan of being partisan”, substantiating his earlier claim that Makinde was plotting to lay allegations against the king.
