    Electricity Workers suspend planned strike

    The National Union of Electricity Employees has suspended it’s planned strike called by the Nigeria Labour Congress due to Fuel increase and removal of Subsidy by the Federal government without putting any palliative or alternative measures to cushion the effect of the economic hardship by workers and other Nigerians

    The strike action was suspended after a Virtual Emergency National Executive Council meeting of the Congress held today Tuesday 6/6/2023 were the Leadership of the Congress brief the affiliates of the Industrial Court order restraining NLC from embarking on planned Strike Couple with the agreement signed between the Federal government representative and Organized Labour.

    It’s our utmost believe that the Federal government shall honour it’s own part of the agreement within the specified time especially those that has short term implementation .
