    Electricity Distribution Coys generate N398.16bn revenue in Q1, 2022 – NBS

    Electricity Consumers in the country paid about N398.16bn for power consumed in the first six months of this year-2022.

    According to latest data released by the National of Statistics (NBS) said quarterly revenue collected by the eleven Electricity Distribution Companies in Nigeria declined by 7.97 per cent stating that yearly revenue collection was 11.42 per cent and 1.71 per cent .

    This figures were contained in NBS report tagged ” Electricity ReportQ1-Q2 2022″. Revenue generation by the DISCOS stood at N204.74bn in Q1 2022 and N188.41bn in Q2, 2022. This shows a downward decline on a quarter -on-quarter basis by 7.97 per cent. 

    ” On a year-on-year basis , revenue collected rose by 11.42 per cent and 1.71 per cent from N183.74bn Q1 2021 and N185.24bn in Q2 2022″ the NBS reports revealed.

    DailyNewscraft.ng reports that the Electricity Distribution Companies are that of ,Abuja, Benin, Eko, Enugu, Ikeja, Ibadan, Jos, Kaduna, Kano Port-Harcourt and   Yola respectively.
