    Eid-el-Fitri: NSCDC Deploys 3,500 Personnel In Kwara

    In a bid to ensure the safety of residents and visitors during the Eid-el-Fitri celebration, the Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Umar J.G Mohammed, has approved the deployment of 3,500 personnel across various strategic locations in the state.

    A statement by the spokesperson of the Corps, ASC1 Ayoola Michael Shola, said: “The deployment will spread across every corner of the state, paying special attention to areas at high risks of criminal activities such as black spots, flash points, vulnerable targets, and places known for frequent criminal activities.

    “The personnel have been assigned the critical duties of preserving peace, averting disturbances, and swiftly addressing any security issues that may emerge before, during, and after the Sallah festivities.

    “The corps is fully prepared to confront individuals with malicious intentions to disrupt peace and undermine law and order,” adding that the Commandant has instructed Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, and Heads of tactical units to enforce stringent security measures and maintain continuous vigilance over all Critical National Assets and Infrastructure within their jurisdictions.

    While congratulating Muslim faithfulsl in the state on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, Commandant Umar encouraged residents to cooperate with the corps and report any suspicious activities in their communities.
