Easter: Otti Urges Christians To Draw Inspiration From Christ’s Sacrifice

    Published on

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has urged Christians to draw inspiration from the supreme sacrifice made by Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary for the redemption of mankind.

Otti gave the charge in his Easter message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Ferdinand Ekeoma, and made available to newsmen on Saturday in Umuahia.

The governor called on Christians to continually embrace godly virtues of altruism, sacrifice and love, which he said had contributed immensely to the recovery and restoration of the state.

He noted that such virtues remained necessary in sustaining the progress made in rebuilding Abia.
Commending the courage and commitment of people of Abia State, as well as their support and solidarity with his administration in its efforts to reposition the state, Otti reassured them of his administration’s resolve to continue to implement people-oriented programmes and projects aimed at completely rebuilding the state and restoring its glory.

He described Easter as a time for Christians to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, whose victory over death brought eternal hope to humanity.
