Dr. Gideon Jock Yaji has unveiled a transformative agricultural empowerment program aimed at enhancing the livelihoods of local political leaders and delegates in Jaba Local Government Area. The initiative was launched today at his residence, attended by prominent figures including his wife, Mrs. JJ Jock, PDP candidate for the upcoming local government elections, and various current and former PDP chairmen.

The program specifically targets 18 local government executives, 17 ward executives from ten political wards, three delegates per ward, and one national delegate. This initiative underscores Dr. Yaji’s commitment to fostering community development and agricultural sustainability.

Dr. Yaji’s approach is particularly noteworthy for its focus on providing essential agricultural inputs—such as fertilizers, sprayers, and herbicides—without any expectation of financial return. By ensuring these items are not for sale, he aims to guarantee their proper use and effectiveness in improving local farming practices.

In his address, Dr. Yaji emphasized the importance of collective efforts in addressing agricultural challenges faced by the community. “This program is a step towards empowering our local leaders to enhance food production and improve the overall welfare of our community,” he stated.

The launch was graced by influential political figures, including Sebastian David Bijiri, Philip Gwadah, and Jonathan Gyam, who expressed their support for Dr. Yaji’s initiative. Councillor candidates and other community stakeholders were also present, reflecting a united front in the quest for agricultural advancement.

As the community rallies around this initiative, there is hope that it will lead to significant improvements in local agriculture, thereby uplifting the entire Jaba Local Government Area.
