Portugal’s captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, couldn’t hide his delight as he played a pivotal role in securing his team’s qualification for Euro 2024.

In a thrilling match, Ronaldo netted twice, leading Portugal to a 3-2 victory over Slovakia in Friday’s Euro 2024 qualifier. The spirited contest unfolded at Porto’s Dragao stadium.

Taking to Instagram to express his happiness, Ronaldo, who is currently showcasing his skills at Al-Nassr in club football, shared his thoughts:

“We’re headed to EURO 2024! I’m incredibly thrilled to have contributed to Portugal’s journey to another exciting stage of this prestigious competition.”

Ronaldo also extended his gratitude, stating, “A special thanks to the Portuguese Football Federation and to the passionate fans who filled the stadium, offering a beautiful tribute.”

Additionally, Goncalo Ramos made his mark by scoring for Portugal in their match against Slovakia.

Portugal, France, and Belgium have now joined host nation Germany as the latest entrants in the upcoming competition.
