Chelle hits Egypt to support Flying Eagles

    Published on

Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle is set to arrive in Cairo, Egypt, to lend his support to the Flying Eagles during their campaign at the ongoing 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

According to the team’s media officer, Shariff Abdallah, Chelle will join the squad at their Radisson Blu Hotel base on Monday. In addition to showing solidarity, the coach is expected to assess the performance of the U-20 players as he prepares to finalize his squad for the upcoming Unity Cup invitational tournament in London later this month.

The Flying Eagles, led by coach Aliyu Zubairu, have collected four points from their first two group-stage matches—winning one and drawing one. They face Kenya in their final Group B fixture on Wednesday at the June 30 Stadium in Cairo. A draw will be enough to send the seven-time champions through to the quarter-finals.
