The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has mourned with sadness the news of the passing of former Governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, who died at the age of 71.
CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, in a statement in Abuja, extended heartfelt condolences to his family, the government and people of Delta State, and all who mourn this loss.
”May God comfort them in this difficult moment,” Okoh said.
He noted that Uduaghan played a notable role during a period of heightened political tension in Nigeria. His commitment to dialogue, confidence-building and the preservation of national unity remains worthy of commendation.
He said his passing is a loss to his family and all who valued his contributions to public service and nation-building.
He, therefore, prayed that God will comfort his family and all who mourn him, and grant his soul eternal rest.
