The Eleruwa of Eruwaland, in Oyo State, His Royal Majesty, Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola Ajobo Olurin I, at the weekend. commended the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and the Nigerian Army over the commissioning of the Chief of Army Staff Civil-Military Cooperation Project at Eruwa General Hospital.
The project comprises the remodelling and reconstruction of the VIP/Physiotherapy Section of the hospital and provision of a solar-powered borehole to boost water supply and healthcare delivery.
The commissioning was performed by the General Officer Commanding, 82 Division, Nigerian Army, and Commander, Joint Task Force (South East), Operation UDO KA, Major General O. A. Fadairo, who facilitated the project.
Fadairo is an illustrious son of Eruwaland and son of the Asiwaju of Eruwaland, Chief Olátúnjí Àlàó Fadairo.
Oba Adegbola commended the Chief of Army Staff and the Nigerian Army for the intervention, describing it as a meaningful investment in the health and wellbeing of his people.
He also congratulated Fadairo on his distinguished service to the nation, noting that his achievements remain a source of pride to his ancestral home.
The event was attended by traditional rulers, senior military officers, government representatives, community leaders and other dignitaries.
The Palace thanked the Nigerian Army and all stakeholders for the successful delivery of the project and reaffirmed support for initiatives that advance healthcare and community development in Eruwaland.
