Antisemitism: Adidas, Kanye West resolve their dispute

    Published on

All legal actions involving well-known American rapper Kanye West, better known by his stage name Yeezy, have been terminated by the German multinational firm Adidas.

After public criticism from the American Jewish Committee (AJC) over the singer’s antisemitic remarks, Adidas ended its partnership with Kanye in 2022.

Bjorn Gulden, the company’s CEO, stated in a statement on Tuesday that the company had “reached an out of court settlement with West to end all legal proceedings without money exchange.”

“The drama involving West is history. Without providing specifics of the accord, Bjorn Gulden said, “Settlements and negotiations have been completed.”

Adidas was left with Yeezy stock valued at about €1.2 billion (£840 million) once the deal ended in 2022.

The business stated that after the legal battle is resolved, the last Yeezy goods will be sold by the end of 2024.
