    Alleged N1.2bn fraud: EFCC stalls Etukudoh, Ernest court proceedings

    ‎The Plateau State High Court has   adjourned to October 20, 2026 the alleged money laundering by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) against Dr Sunday Etukudoh and Ernest Domtoe.

    ‎The case has suffered over 20 years setback when EFCC could not prosecute the Provost of the Federal School of Medical Laboratories Jos as the prosecution counsel always introduced fresh complaints or lack of proper services.

    ‎The court rearranged Etukudoh and Domtoe on alleged N359 million frauds, alleged diversion of contract sum of money main for the development of the school located at Lamingo ,JUTH permanent site.

    ‎Etukudoh and Domtoe were charged with a 16-count charge as the court promised accelerating hearing, but when matter came up Case Management Conference (CMC), EFCC counsel put in an application on why he could not serve the defendants due to his ill health.

    ‎According him, he could not effect service on the defense counsels because he has been sick.

    ‎Allegations that based on the practice, the Plateau State High Court ruled that the defendants need to be served properly. He, therefore, pleaded for more time to serve them.

    ‎The EFCC sought for a long adjournment, knowing that the matter is criminal in nature which was instituted over 20 years ago, starting with Rtd Justice Yakubu Dakwak to Rtd Justice Daniel Longji, and Rtd Justice Christine Dabup.
