Ajayi elated to be back after AFCON injury

Semi Ajayi is delighted to return to action for Hull City after his latest injury setback.

Ajayi sustained a hamstring injury at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations which sidelined him for around two months.

The Nigeria international also missed around three months of action earlier in the campaign due to the same problem.

The 32-year-old has featured in three games for Hull City this month since recovering from the injury.

The lastest was last Saturday’s defeat against his former club West Bromwich Albion.

Ajayi claimed he is getting back to his best, and is ready to help Hull City push for Sky Bet Championship playoff ticket.

“I am feeling really good. It was my second 90 minutes, so I am getting back into the full swing of things and looking forward to pushing for the rest of the season,” Ajayi told the club’s official website.

The centre-back joined the Tigers on a free transfer last summer.
