    Access Bank Hosts Launch of ‘Wisdom and Integrity’ Book Commemorating Honourable Justice Amina Augie’s Legal Legacy

    Access Bank PLC hosted the public presentation and launch of the two-volume book, ‘Wisdom and Integrity: The Legacy of Honourable Justice Amina Adamu Augie JSC CON Through Her Judgements.’ The event, held at Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos, celebrated the illustrious career of Justice Amina Augie CFR, JSC(Rtd), honoring her profound contributions to Nigerian jurisprudence.

    The book, compiled upon Justice Augie’s retirement from the Bench, contains landmark judgments spanning her decades-long career, influencing diverse areas of law. Access Bank, supporting the publication, emphasized its commitment to initiatives promoting knowledge, integrity, and excellence in the legal profession.

    Group CEO of Access Holdings PLC, Herbert Wigwe, expressed pride in supporting the book launch, stating that Justice Augie’s commitment to fairness aligns with the bank’s values. The author, Justice Amina Augie, urged legal practitioners to remain steadfast and incorruptible in upholding justice and the rule of law.

    The launch event, chaired by His Majesty, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochukwu Achebe, CFR, MNI, Obi of Onitsha, attracted distinguished guests from the legal and academic communities, public and private sectors, including prominent figures like the Oba of Lagos, Chairman of Access Bank PLC Paul Usoro SAN, and Chairman of Heirs Holdings Tony Elumelu. The book reviewer, Professor Fabian Ajogwu OFR, SAN, commended Justice Augie’s impact on the legal landscape.

    Justice Amina Augie’s legal journey began in 1978, marked by determination, perseverance, and integrity. Beyond her role as a Supreme Court Justice, she has been a teacher, mentor, and advocate for human rights, especially focusing on women and children. Her contributions extend to chairing tribunals, serving on boards, and receiving prestigious awards globally.
