AC Milan has been dealt a significant blow with the news that Samuel Chukwueze will be out of action for several weeks due to an injury sustained while on international duty.

Reported by Football Italia, Chukwueze suffered a hamstring injury during Nigeria’s 2-2 draw against Saudi Arabia. The winger started the match but had to be replaced by Moses Simon in the second half.

The extent of the damage remains uncertain, but Milan’s statement indicated a femoral bicep lesion. Typically, this type of injury requires at least a few weeks of recovery, potentially stretching closer to a month, depending on the severity of the lesion.

Chukwueze is likely to miss crucial upcoming matches for Milan, including clashes against Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain. Furthermore, his availability for Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe next month is now in doubt.
