Al-Nassr Football Club has announced Nike as its new kit manufacturer following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo in January earlier this year.
In a Twitter post by the club’s official account on Sunday, they expressed their delight in partnering with Nike as the official kit supplier for the 2023-24 season. The deal will come into effect during Al-Nassr’s Japan Tour at the end of July.
Ronaldo, the renowned football superstar, has a lifetime deal with Nike and is currently under a 10-year contract with the company worth £147 million.
Al-Nassr has made a transition from their previous kit manufacturer, Duneus, to Nike. This marks the team’s third collaboration with Nike, having previously worked with them from 1997 to 2001 and from 2010 to 2012.
The change in manufacturers is not expected to bring about a significant visual alteration, as Duneus drew inspiration from Nike’s style for their current kit design.
As the international profile of the Saudi Pro League grows, another team, Al-Hilal, has also recently switched to a prominent sportswear brand, Puma, on a five-year contract.
