    Published on

Former Governor Samuel Ortom has refuted the circulating social media reports suggesting that he has been nominated for a ministerial appointment by President Bola Tinubu’s administration. In a statement released by his media aide, Terver Akase, in Makurdi on Friday, Ortom dismissed the rumors as false and misleading.

The statement emphasized, “The attention of the immediate past Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, has been drawn to the speculation on social media that he has been nominated for a ministerial appointment. We urge members of the public to disregard the report as it is false and misleading. Chief Ortom deeply appreciates those who have taken the time to call and verify the information.”

The news had caused excitement in Benue State, with social media reports and rumors circulating about Ortom’s alleged nomination. Many of his political associates and supporters took to their social media platforms to congratulate him. However, Ortom’s official statement clarified that there is no truth to these claims.
