The David Folaranmi Foundation praises the federal government’s renewed dedication to combating drug/substance abuse, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among various sectors. During a symposium in Enugu, the foundation’s founder, David Folaranmi, acknowledged the efforts of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) under the leadership of Buba Marwa in addressing the issue. However, Folaranmi emphasized that the fight against drug abuse requires the involvement of all stakeholders to rescue young people from its negative consequences. The foundation’s executive director, Nnenna Folaranmi, highlighted the positive impact of their rehabilitation efforts on over 100 individuals, who have returned to education, acquired skills, and are thriving in society. The foundation has been actively engaged in counseling, follow-up, and support for those affected by drug/substance addiction.
