In the ongoing Presidential Election Petition Court, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has presented a total of 118 exhibits to support his case against President Bola Tinubu.

Atiku and the PDP filed the petition to challenge the victory of President Tinubu, who ran under the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the February 25 election. Tinubu was declared the winner with 8,794,726 votes.

The petitioners argue that the president was not legitimately elected by the majority of valid votes cast and assert that he was not qualified to contest the election.

During the hearing on Tuesday, Atiku’s lawyer, Eyitayo Jegede, introduced the first batch of exhibits to the court. Among the evidence presented were certified copies of the election results from all 36 states of the country and the Federal Capital Territory.

Additionally, the exhibits included printouts of data retrieved from the bimodal voter accreditation system, as well as records of the number of permanent voter cards utilized in the election across all states and the FCT. The court admitted all the exhibits as evidence.

The respondents in the case reserved their objections to the documents until their final written address.

Notably, no witnesses were called by the petitioners during the hearing.
