Immediate past Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva on Friday urged Nigerians to embrace love and sacrifice as he felicitated with the Muslim Ummah on the Eid El-Fitr celebrations.

Sylva in a message by his Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs Mr Julius Bokoru, commended and admired the faithfulness exhibited in the month-long fast.

“I am fascinated by our Muslim brothers and sisters for completing, devotedly, a month-long dawn to dusk fast. This is one of the most sincere ways to show commitment and submission to God.

“It is important to note that for millions of Muslims across the country, this fast was a personal sacrifice for the nation too. A solemn prayer to God for increased love, tolerance, peace and a much better Nigeria.

“This is also a time to reflect on the blessings in our lives and to be grateful for what we have. I wish everyone, Nigerians of all creed and religion, happiness, peace, fulfilment and above all love,” Sylva stated.
