    Published on

‎The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has successfully conducted the foreign component of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for Nigerians and non-Nigerians seeking admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions.

‎The examination was held on Friday and Saturday, May 15 and 16, 2026 across designated foreign centres, with the exception of centres in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Buea, Cameroon, whose examinations would be conducted on dates to be announced later due to unforeseen exigencies that prevented them from participating alongside other centres.

‎The foreign centres are London, United Kingdom; Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso; Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire; Malabo, Equatorial Guinea; Banjul, The Gambia; Accra, Ghana; Cotonou, Benin Republic; Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Buea, Cameroon; and Johannesburg, South Africa.

‎A total of three hundred and seventy-nine (379) candidates registered for the examination across the ten foreign centres.

‎The foreign UTME initiative was introduced to position Nigerian tertiary institutions within the global education market and has continued to attract increasing interest from foreign nationals seeking admission into institutions in Nigeria.

‎Officials of the Board were deployed to the various foreign centres to monitor and supervise the conduct of the examination.
