The Plateau State Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) , Rev. Zim Philip Jibi has condemned the unprovoked killings of innocent citizens in Plateau villages ,as he called on the government at all levels to rise beyond condolences and take decisive, proactive action to protect lives and property.

Rev. Jibi made the disclosure in a statement to journalists in Jos when he condemn these barbaric attacks in the strongest possible terms.

He said , “The continuous bloodshed in Barkin Ladi LGA and across Plateau State is heartbreaking, painful, and completely unacceptable.

” Innocent men, women, and children have once again been murdered by ruthless attackers, leaving families shattered and communities living in fear”,he stated.

According to him,  Plateau State has suffered for too long. Human life has become too cheap in the hands of violent criminals and enemies of peace. Enough is enough.

Rev. Philip Jibi explained that the primary responsibility of every government is security, and the people of Plateau deserve to live without fear of being attacked in their homes, farms, and communities.

He called on the Federal Government, security agencies, and Plateau State Government to immediately strengthen intelligence gathering, deploy adequate security personnel to vulnerable communities, arrest and prosecute perpetrators, and ensure that justice is served.

Philip advised that communities should not be abandoned to defend themselves while criminals operate freely.

He pointed out that at the same time, affected communities must remain united and vigilant.

We must refuse to allow division, revenge, or hatred to destroy our social fabric further.

Community leaders, youth groups, religious leaders, and traditional rulers should work together to promote peace, share credible information with security agencies, and support one another during this painful time.

To the grieving families, he  mourns with them  and pray for God to  comfort, healing, and strength their lives . The blood of innocent people cries out for justice, and we must not remain silent until lasting peace returns to Plateau State.Adding ,”May God heal Plateau State and protect our people” .
