    2027: APC screens,clears Kogi assembly speaker, others

    All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 Candidates’ Screening Committee in Kogi, has cleared the State Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Yusuf and other aspirants to contest for 2027 general elections.

    The exercise, conducted on Saturday in Lokoja, also featured the screening of other Kogi assembly aspirants the 2027 elections.

    Speaking to newsmen shortly after his screening, the speaker described the process as “seamless”

    Yusuf commended the party leadership in the state for its commitment towards ensuring a hitch – free process.

    He also praised Gov. Ahmed Ododo for his commitment to providing the enabling environment for effective party governance.

    The speaker also praised the state APC Chairman, Mr Momoh Ezzu, for demonstrating expertise in party administration.

    “This credible process has shown why the APC remains the only credible platform to stand for election and the party of the masses.

    “We have confidence in the ability of those that would be fielded by the party in next year’s elections, would ensure sustained winning streak beyond the polls,” he said.
