2027: David Mark breaks silence on Peter Obi, Kwankwaso’s defection

    Published on

The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, David Mark, has reacted to the defection of Peter Obi and Rabi’u Musa Kwamkwaso.

Addressing members of the Forum of ADC Former and serving Federal Lawmakers on Wednesday in Abuja, Mark said the exit of the duo would make the party work harder.

While acknowledging the effect of their defection, the Benue-born politician assured Nigerians that the party would present credible candidates with capacity to win elections in 2027.

The former Senate President stated that he was confident that the challenges faced by the party would ultimately strengthen its resolve and propel it to victory at the polls.

“No doubt, the exit of Obi and Kwankwaso has its impact, but it will spur us to work harder,” he said.

Obi and Kwankwaso on Sunday dumped the ADC for the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, citing court cases and internal division.
