Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has approved and released the payment of March salaries to civil servants across the state ahead of the forthcoming Sallah celebration.
This was contained in a statement issued on Friday in Lokoja by the state commissioner for information and communication, Kingsley Fanwo.
“The early payment reflects the administration’s consistent commitment to prioritizing the welfare of workers and ensuring that members of the state’s workforce are adequately supported, especially during important religious festivities” the commissioner noted.
He said that feedback received from civil servants across the state indicates deep appreciation for the gesture, which will significantly assist them in making adequate preparations for the Sallah celebration with their families.
“The Kogi State Government assures the workforce that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo will continue to place a high premium on workers’ welfare as the dedicated and dependable civil service continues to deliver quality services to the good people of Kogi State.
We wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters a blessed Ramadan and a joyous Sallah celebration ahead.

The Eid-fitr which marks the end of Ramadan comes up next week Friday after 30 days of fasting while the Christian fasting continues for another ten days.
