The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has threatened to use its new technology as Iran restated its vow not to surrender to the firepower of the United States and Israel.
“We have missiles that are launched from underwater; their speed is 100 meters per second,” Deputy Commander Ali Fadavi told Iranian media. “We may use them in the coming days.”
Fadavi claimed that President Donald Trump “has been seeking to announce a ceasefire,” saying, “If the enemy had won the war, it would not be asking the whole world to mediate for a ceasefire.”
In an interview with CBS News, Joseph Votel, former commander of the U.S. CENTCOM, noted that Iran’s increasing disclosure of its plans was a tactic to “cause panic” among its adversaries.
On Wednesday, a massive fire broke out after drones struck fuel storage tanks at the Port of Salalah in Oman, intensifying regional tensions amid uncertainty across global energy and shipping markets.
Iran has attacked several ships this week, including an oil tanker in the territorial waters near Iraq. A Chinese-owned carrier, Hailan Journey, reportedly pivoted after projectiles hit nearby vessels.

On Wednesday, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution condemning Iran’s attacks on Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Jordan. It passed with 13 votes in favor, while Russia and China abstained.
Drafted by Bahrain and backed by 135 countries, the resolution said Tehran’s actions violated international law and restated support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of GCC states and Jordan.
