    The National President of the Law Students’ Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN), His Excellency, Sen. Yasir Abubakar, GCOL and his Vice President, Her Excellency, Miss. Agogo Florence, OOL urges the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to look into the grievances of electorates across the Country and political parties flowing from the conduct of 2023 general elections of Nigeria which held this past Saturday. While commending INEC for the job so far, the Leaders of the Association noted that for an elections to be adjudged free, fair and credible, the electorates who are the foundation of the whole process must be heard and cleared of all their grievances, also the various political parties who participated in the electoral process.

    The Association further added that all citizens deserve to be rewarded by a process that ensures that their votes truly count, having gone out in light of the prevailing situation in the Country to cast their votes. Even if not for anything else, but for this singular reason, their voices should be heard and addressed.

    Also, they commended the INEC for the good job it has done so far and expressed optimism and confidence in the body to ensure that the process is not only seen but adjudged to be free, fair and credible as it has already set in motion a transparent narrative so far.

    Conclusively, the Leaders of the Association appealed to all Candidates, their respective parties and citizens of the Country to remain calm, in line with the Peace Accord signed by all political parties and their candidates, while INEC after a thorough process has announced the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the Presidential Elect,we enjoined all political parties, stakeholders, youths and women groups to join hands with the Presidential Elect to steer the ship of state and move Nigeria forward to the promised land, where equity, justice, fairness and freedom reigns supreme. The peace and progress of Nigeria remains the ultimate goal and we must all collectively come together to foster and uphold that peace, progress, unity and stability for the growth of the nation.
