Brighton’s Diego Gómez is the current highest goal scorer in the Carabao Cup so far this season.
Gómez has scored five goals and he is ahead of Chelsea’s Alejandro Garnacho, who has four goals to his name.
This comes following the conclusion of the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg fixture on Wednesday night.
Recall that Manchester City defeated Newcastle United 3-1 to qualify for the Carabao Cup final on a 5-1 aggregate win, having won 2-0 in the first leg.
Pep Guardiola’s side will now face Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final in March.
