    Atiku Defeats Tinubu, Peter Obi In Osun

    The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun emerged the party with the highest number of votes in the state in the presidential election.The presidential election was held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 throughout the country.The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Collation Officer for Osun State, Professor Folasade Ogunsola made this known at the INEC collation centre, Osogbo on Sunday.According to Professor Ogunsola who is the Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, the PDP polled 354,366 votes to lead the pack with the APC coming second with 343,945 votes.Labour Party came a distant third with a distant 23,283 votes.Inline with the Electoral Act, the result will be transmitted to the INEC National Collation Centre in Abuja.The result is as follows: Presidential election result for Osun State.State Collation Officer: Professor Folasade Ogunsola, Vice Chancellor, University of Lagos.Registered voters – 1,954,800Accredited voters 759,362Valid Votes — 733,203Invalid Votes — 23,541Total Vote Cast — 756,744A: 1,006AA: 129AAC: 402ADC: 3,988ADP: 1,519APC: 343,945APGA: 613APM: 291APP: 149BP: 206LP: 23,283NNPP: 713NRM: 623PDP: 354,366PRP: 277SDP: 225YPP: 347ZLP: 1,121
