Iran will be ‘wiped out’ if it targets me – Trump warns

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has issued a strong warning to Iran, declaring that the Middle Eastern nation would face total destruction if any assassination attempt were made against him.

Trump made the statement during an interview aired on News Nation on Tuesday, where he addressed reports and threats allegedly issued by Iranian leaders against him.

According to the president, he has already given “very firm instructions” on how the United States should respond if such an attack were to occur.

“If anything happens, they’re going to wipe them off the face of this earth,” Trump said during the interview.

He added that Iran should not contemplate such an action, stressing that the consequences would be devastating.

Trump, who has previously spoken about threats from Tehran, said he had left explicit instructions to ensure Iran would be destroyed if he were assassinated.

“They shouldn’t be doing it,” Trump said while responding to what he described as disturbing death threats from Iran, during an appearance on NewsNation’s Katie Pavlich Tonight.

“But I’ve left notification. If anything ever happens, the whole country is going to get blown up,” he added.

The president further noted that Iran has not carried out any such action but warned that doing so would be disastrous for the country.

“Not because of me if they did that, they would be obliterated. That would be the end,” Trump said.

“I’ve left instructions. If they do it, they get obliterated. There won’t be anything left.”
