The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has hiked the price of petrol in Lagos from ₦865 to ₦992 per litre.
This brings about N127 price gap, representing approximately 1.5% increase.
The reason for price adjustment has not been disclosed but various NNPCL retail attendants were observed adjusting their pumps to reflect the new price.
It was reported that at the Ogunusi Road, Ojodu Berger station, attendants confirmed they were instructed to update the price to ₦992 per litre.
However, checks at Ibafo along the Lagos Ibadan expressway revealed that some NNPCL outlets still displayed the old price of ₦875 per litre, although fuel was not being sold to commuters, New National Star gathered.
At the time of filing this report, it was not confirmed whether the increase would hit other states across the country.
