Mafisere Kafayat is rapidly emerging as one of the brightest names in Nigerian women’s football.

Her exceptional performances with the national U-20 side, the Falconets, have fueled hopes of a senior call-up to the Super Falcons thanks to her consistency, maturity, and commanding presence in midfield.

A true symbol of hard work, tactical intelligence, and composure, Kafayat has reaffirmed herself with every appearance as one of the most dependable and exciting midfield talents in the country.

Super Falcons’ Head Coach, Justin Madugu, recently acknowledged the growing quality within the NWFL and cadet teams, stressing his commitment to giving home-based players opportunities.

Kafayat’s name stands tall as one that surely deserves a spot in upcoming training camps and international fixtures and friendly games

She has been the engine of Edo Queens’ midfield and, during her loan spell with Bayelsa Queens, played a crucial role in their continental campaign- dictating tempo with calm authority, threading precise passes

She was instrumental in Edo Queens’ triumph at the 2023 Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament and pivotal in their victorious 2023/24 NWFL Championship campaign. More recently, she starred in the 2024/25 Super 6 NWFL Playoffs and impressed in CAF Women’s Champions League matches with Bayelsa Queens, proving her ability to excel on the biggest stages.

What sets Kafayat apart is her game intelligence and ability to anticipate play, intercept passes, and make forward-thinking decisions with remarkable maturity.
