Dele Momodu Hosts Peter Obi in Ghana

    Published on

Media mogul and chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dele Momodu, on Wednesday hosted former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in Accra, Ghana.

Momodu, who shared the visit on his official X handle, said he welcomed Obi to the Ghanaian capital earlier in the morning before hosting him for breakfast at his residence.

“Earlier this morning, I welcomed the former Labour Party presidential candidate and former Anambra State Governor, His Excellency Peter Obi, to the beautiful city of Accra, Ghana, and we headed to my home for breakfast,” he wrote.

Details of their private discussions were not made public.

Obi, who contested Nigeria’s 2023 presidential election under the Labour Party, has remained an influential voice in national discourse, regularly meeting with political leaders, business figures, and members of the Nigerian diaspora. His visit to Momodu comes just days after he held a closed-door meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, as well as a courtesy visit to the new Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rasheed Ladoja, in Oyo State.

The series of meetings has fueled speculation about Obi’s next political moves as Nigeria inches closer to the 2027 general elections.
