    Myetti-Allah decries killing of 25 cattle in Plateau

    The Plateau State chapter of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, has raised the alarm over the killing of 25 cows belonging to a herder in the Fan district of Barikin Ladi Local Government Area.

    The state chairman of MACBAN, Ibrahim Yusuf Babayo, who made the before newsmen in Jos on Thursday, said the gunmen attacked the herds as they were grazing and opened fire on them, killing the herder and their animals.

    Babayo added that a herder who went missing after the attack was found dead near the attack scene.

    Explaining further, the MACBAN chairman said the attacks occurred in two separate locations, with the first attack occurring in Lairi village on Sunday and the second in Katang on Tuesday.

    Describing the attack as devastating, Babayo accused members of the Berom ethnic group of being responsible, adding that he had informed security agencies, including the General Officer Commanding 3 Division and the state Commissioner of Police.
