Ahead of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) area council elections, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a stern warning to its members against engaging in anti-party activities. The party also urged those involved in such actions to leave the PDP.
Ambassador Umar Damagun, the acting National Chairman, conveyed this message through the PDP’s North-Central Vice Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed, during a ceremony where candidates received their party nomination forms.
Damagun assured candidates participating in the upcoming FCT council elections that their votes would be protected.
“Any misbehavior, the party will no longer tolerate it. If anyone feels they are not ready for this task, they should step aside immediately so that we can replace them without delay,” Damagum warned. “If anyone is caught campaigning or organizing with other political parties, it will be treated as anti-party activity and they will be disciplined.”
He emphasized that the PDP’s disciplinary committee would not tolerate disloyalty, cautioning members against engaging in the political activities of other parties.
