Petrol marketers reduce fuel price nationwide

    Published on

Following the ex-depot price cut of petrol by Dangote Refinery on Monday, petroleum products marketers have reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit, otherwise called petrol, across the country.

The President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Abubakar Maigandi, disclosed this on Wednesday.

He said its members in Northern Nigeria, including Abuja, have slashed PMS prices from Wednesday to between N930 and N940 per litre from the previous N945 and N975.

“Our members have reduced petrol prices on Wednesday following Dangote Refinery’s ex-depot price drop,” he stated.

Some petrol stations in Abuja have reflected the change, while others are yet to respond. For instance, Empire Energy and Ranoil filling stations in Gwarimpa, Abuja, reduced their fuel prices to N955 and N945 per litre on Wednesday, down from N975 and N960 as of Monday.

Meanwhile, a report said that petrol prices at MRS Filling Station and Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited retail outlets in Abuja have yet to change.
