Osimhen shuns N275bn Saudi move, eyes Europe

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has again turned down a jaw-dropping offer from Saudi Arabian giants Al-Hilal, who presented the Nigerian a mind-blowing N275 billion (€160 million) deal spanning three years.

Despite the unprecedented figure which translates to over N91 billion (€40 million) annually, the Nigerian international remains unmoved in his commitment for European football.

The latest offer marks the seventh attempt by Al-Hilal to lure Osimhen to the Saudi Pro League, with the 26-year-old currently vacationing in Nigeria during the off-season.

According to Napoli Calcio News,  Al-Hilal’s manager, Simone Inzaghi, plans to make a personal pitch to the striker.

However, Osimhen appears resolute, keeping his eyes fixed on top European suitors such as Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Real Madrid.

The mega-deal, if accepted, would make Osimhen the highest-paid Nigerian footballer in history, dwarfing the salary once earned by former Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo during his time in the Chinese Super League.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray are also pushing to bring Osimhen back permanently, following a previous successful loan spell that endeared him to fans in Istanbul.

At Galatasaray, lead them to the domestic double with 37 goals and eight assists in 41 appearances.
