    Democracy Day: NYCN rally support for Tinubu’s renewed Hope Agenda

    As part of activities to mark 2025 Democracy Day celebration, hundreds of youths embarked on a peaceful rally in Abuja rallying support for the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu renewed Hope Agenda to commemorate the June 12 date set for the celebration.

    Led by the President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Comrade Solomon Adodo, the group who converged at the Abuja unity fountain embarking on the walk to the Abuja Eagles square applauded the reform put in place by President Tinubu to reposition the country.

    The youths group argued that President Tinubu’s economic and fiscal reforms are worthy of commendation since it is fast yielding a transformative legacy that has rekindled hope for a greater Nigeria.

    Describing President Tinubu as a unifier par excellence, they noted that he has shown leadership that is accommodating, intentional, and resolute in lifting Nigerians, not dividing them.

    Applauding the Senator Godswill Akpabio led national Assembly for creating the enabling environment for the peaceful and cordial relationship between the executive and legislative arms, the group particularly expressed gratitude to the armed forces for striving day and night to keep the peace in the polity.

    The youths group pointed at the Federal training centers empowering millions in digital skills, entrepreneurship, and creative industries—complete with startup grants for graduates.iDICE Fund: A $617.7 million investment vehicle fueling youth-led tech and creative startups nationwide.3 Million Technical Talents (3MTT) as some on the laudable measures out in place to empower the youths by the President Tinubu led administration.

    They further refered to the presidential pledge to skill 3 million young Nigerians in IT and vocational trades—turning job seekers into job creator, leveraging UNICEF partnership to train 20 million youth by 2030 in “learning-to-earning” pathways, the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF): ₦110 billion in grants and loans for youth SMEs, unlocking access to capital and mentorship.Presidential Enterprise Clusters as other laudable steps taken so far by President Tinubu led administration.

    Among others, they applauded President Tinubu for putting in place the Presidential Conditional Grants Scheme: ₦50,000 no-repayment grants for 1 million micro-entrepreneurs—70% of them youth and women.Skill-Up Artisan Super Programme, formal certification and skills boost for 100,000 young artisans

    It includes forex and trading Academy MoU, training 100,000 youth annually in forex, risk management, and financial planning.Education and Youth Engagement as well as the NELFUND Expansion broadening access to higher education through low-interest loans.
