In line with Governor Hope Uzodinma’s commitment for effective land management, the Imo State Government has completed a state-of-the-art Land Information Services Centre at the State Secretariat in Owerri.

The new facility, which marks a significant milestone in Uzodimma’s administration, is poised to transform land administration by offering a comprehensive suite of services to streamline processes, enhance transparency, and support sustainable land development in Imo State.

The Land Information Services Centre will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of land ownership, transactions, and interests, ensuring seamless land registration. It will provide access to land-related data, maps, and other critical information, enabling efficient land information management.

The centre will also verify the ownership and legitimacy of land titles, fostering trust in property transactions. This is contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Public Enlightenment, Prince Ezeh Ugochukwu.

In addition, the facility will assist in planning and decision-making related to land use and development, promoting sustainable growth in Imo State.

It will play a key role in resolving land-related disputes and conflicts, offering a platform for fair and timely resolutions.

The centre will provide guidance and support to individuals, organisations, and government agencies on land-related matters, ensuring exceptional customer support.

By analysing land-related data, the centre will inform policy decisions and development initiatives, driving evidence-based land governance.

Furthermore, it will provide public access to land information and records, promoting transparency and accountability in land administration.

Uzodimma’s administration continues to prioritize innovative solutions to enhance governance and improve the lives of Imo State residents.

The Land Information Services Centre stands as another evidence of this vision, setting a new standard for land management in the state.
