Start parking out: Gov Namadi tells PDP NASS members

    Published on

Ahead of the general election in 2027, Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi has asked the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) members who were elected to the National Assembly to begin vacating their seats.

He made this statement at the “Gwamnati da Jamaa” Citizen Engagement Programme (JSGCEP) in Dutse local government, which was attended by around 3,502 members of the opposition PDP and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

According to him, there was compelling evidence that the ruling party would regain every position that the opposition parties had gained in the general election of 2023.

He claims that because of the APC’s dedication to capital and human development, the people in Jigawa Southwest Zone are becoming more accepting of the party.

“All of the elected members of the National Assembly from opposition parties should begin counting down the days they have left in the Red and Green chamber, as the people of the constituencies will no longer vote for them again; instead, they will all vote for the APC in 2027, as we are seeing in Birnin Kudi, Buji, and today in Dutse.”

As you may remember, the PDP has gained seats in the South South senatorial zone, as well as seats in the Birninkudu state legislature and the House of Representatives for the Birninkudu/Buji and Dutse/Kiyawa Federal constituencies.
