    Arokodare wins 2025 Golden Shoe award

    According to reports, Tolu Arokodare, a forward with KRC Genk, has won the 2025 Ebony Shoe award in Belgium.

    The Belgian Pro League’s top African player or player of African heritage is honored with this accolade.

    Arokodare received recognition for his outstanding 2024–2025 season efforts for Genk.

    In the current season, the 24-year-old has scored 22 goals and provided seven assists for the Smurfs.

    He took home the coveted honor before Union Saint-Gilloise star Promise David, Genk colleague Zakaria El Ouahdi, Union Saint-Gilloise’s Noah Sidiki, and fellow countryman Raphael Onyedika.

    The award has previously gone to former Super Eagles players Godwin Okpara, Celestine Babayaro, Victor Ikpeba, and Daniel Amokachi.
