The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has acknowledged a surge in unusual complaints following the release of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results and is taking steps to investigate the concerns.

In a statement issued on Monday by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB noted that it is currently reviewing the entire examination process, including registration, administration, and the release of results. This move comes in response to complaints reportedly emanating from certain states across the country.

To address the situation, the board is accelerating its annual post-examination system review and has brought in experts to assess and address any technical issues that may have affected the conduct or outcome of the exams. Among those involved in the review process are representatives from the Computer Professionals Association of Nigeria, heads of tertiary institutions serving as Chief External Examiners, measurement specialists, and Vice Chancellors from various universities.

“If any technical glitches are confirmed, JAMB will take immediate and appropriate remedial actions, as it routinely does in the case of disrupted examinations,” the statement assured.

The board also reiterated its commitment to ensuring fairness and transparency, emphasizing that affected candidates would not be left disadvantaged if flaws are identified.
