    Aisha Achimugu Appears In Court

    Published on

At the Federal High Court in Abuja, Nigerian businesswoman Aisha Achimugu has been charged by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Achimugu reportedly showed up at court at approximately 11:35 a.m. with two female EFCC officers.

Recall that the EFCC arrested Achimugu on Tuesday on suspicion of participating in a dubious N8.71 billion oil block sale.

Achimugu may be arraigned in court today after a rigorous eight-hour interrogation session with EFCC investigators in Abuja, Commission sources told The Nation.

When the troubled CEO of Oceangate Engineering Oil and Gas Limited arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja early on Tuesday morning from London, she was taken into custody.
