U.S. Congressman Seth Moulton has pointed out five major campaign promises made by President Donald Trump that remain unfulfilled after his first 100 days in office.
In a video posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Moulton accused Trump of failing to deliver on key commitments made during his campaign, highlighting what he described as repeated broken promises.
Addressing the president directly in the video, Moulton said, “Mr. President, you’re 100 days in. You made a lot of promises, but it’s hard to keep up with how many you’ve broken.”
He criticized Trump for not reducing the cost of living and for failing to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, despite pledging to do so immediately upon taking office. Moulton also aimed the president’s shifting stance on Russian President Vladimir Putin, suggesting that Trump had initially expressed trust in Putin but later reversed his position.
The congressman further faulted Trump for not upholding his pledge to restore government accountability, pointing to alleged dysfunction within the Department of Defense.
“You promised to lower prices, but they keep rising. The only thing dropping is the stock market, hurting people’s retirement savings,” Moulton said. “You vowed to end the Ukraine war on day one it’s now day 100, and the war continues.”
He continued, “You claimed to trust Putin, and now you’re suddenly realizing, like the rest of us already knew, that he’s a threat to the U.S.”
“You said you’d deport dangerous criminals, yet you can’t even confirm their criminal status. Instead, you deported a four-year-old child battling stage-four cancer.”
On accountability, he added, “You promised to restore it, but look at your secretary of defense the Pentagon is a mess. That’s not accountability.”
