Be Encouraged By Jesus Christ – Jonathan To Nigerians

    Published on

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has called on Nigerians to remain hopeful despite the nation’s ongoing challenges.

In his Easter message delivered on Friday, Jonathan emphasized that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ represent a profound gift of salvation and redemption for all believers.

“I join millions of Christians around the world in marking Good Friday,” he stated. “This day serves as a reminder of Christ’s sacrificial death for humanity and His offer of salvation. It reflects the spirit of servanthood and commitment to service, which Jesus exemplified by laying down His life for mankind.”

He urged Nigerians not to lose heart, but to draw inspiration from the hope and love embodied in the Easter story. Jonathan encouraged the public to reflect on the deeper meaning of the season and renew their dedication to peace and justice.

“At Easter, we meditate on the strength of Christ’s love, the gift of righteousness, and the triumph of hope over despair. The resurrection reminds us of God’s boundless love and the possibilities that faith offers us,” he said.

Jonathan also called on the nation’s leaders to emulate Christ by serving the country with sincerity and humility.

“This season encourages us to embrace the values of sacrifice, service, and compassion. Let us rededicate ourselves to building a nation founded on peace, unity, and love,” he concluded.
