    Trigger-happy security operative shot dead lady in Anambra

    A lady identified as Chiamaka Okeke has been killed by a trigger-happy security operative in Ibeto junction, Nnewi, Anambra state.

    The deceased was said to be on her way home when she was shot dead at the back by the security agent.

    “Mrs Chiamaka was on her home and got stuck at Ibeto junction traffic.
    “Udogachi security drove down and on meeting the traffic, they were violently controlling everyone, so they can have their way through.

    “They carelessly shot an innocent lady at the back and she couldn’t be saved,” a witness who preferred anonymity said.

    Confirming the incident, Police Command spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga described the incident as regrettable.

    He said investigations have commenced.

    He said, “The Commissioner of Police Anambra State Police Command CP Ikioye Orutugu sues for calm.

    He states that the Command is already in contact with the relevant security outfit to identify the suspect and ensure justice is served.

    “This is following a report in the evening of yesterday, 15th April 2025 of the regrettable incident at Ibeto junction, Nnewi where a trigger-happy security operative shot a lady who was later identified as Chiamaka Okeke which resulted to her death.

    “Investigations are currently ongoing and further developments would be communicated.”
