Hip-hop legends including Queen Latifah, Lauryn Hill, and Missy Elliott were also included in the Billboard staff’s selection of the Best Female Rappers of All Time.
Remarkably, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj’s competitors, did not place in the top 10.
Missy Elliott, Lauryn Hill, Lil’ Kim, and Queen Latifah came in at number 2, 3, 4, and 5, respectively, after Minaj at the top of the list.
The top 10 was completed by Eve, Foxy Brown, Roxanne Shanté, Salt-N-Pepa, and MC Lyte.
Megan Thee Stallion was ranked number 15, while Cardi B was ranked number 11.
Despite being widely regarded as the greatest female rapper in history by many music enthusiasts, Nicki Minaj has yet to win a Grammy.
Her rivals, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, have both won Grammys in rap categories.
