Later today, March 25, at 5 p.m., the Super Eagles will play the Zimbabwean team at Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo. Chelle’s team has momentum going into this important match after defeating the Amavubi of Rwanda 2-0 last Friday. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, came with a grueling 2-2 tie with the Benin Republic.

“This match will not be easy for us because Zimbabwe boasts a talented roster, astute players, and an experienced coach in Michael Nees,” Chelle said at a pre-match press conference on Monday, acknowledging the team’s strengths.

“I am proud of my players for their performance against Rwanda,” he added. “It was a difficult match, but they carried out our game plan well.”

“We had a productive training session yesterday, and we need to carry that momentum onto the field again to ensure we are well-prepared for the game tomorrow,” Chelle added, underscoring the significance of concentration and preparation.

“This coach has a well-defined game strategy, which we must respect and prepare for with our utmost focus,” he added, highlighting Nees’ tactical prowess.

Coach Chelle talked about the difficulties Zimbabwe presents and his steadfast goal of creating a winning culture within the club. He is eager to capitalize on the 2-0 triumph he had against Rwanda to begin his career.

“I’ve talked to my players and I’ve made it clear that my objective is to win every game we play,” Chelle said. I’m fully focused on the forthcoming match versus Zimbabwe. After that game is over, we can turn our attention to the next obstacles.

Please take note that later today, March 25, at 5 p.m., the Nigerian Super Eagles vs. Zimbabwe World Cup qualifiers will begin.
