Iran responds to Trump, saying, “We’ll counter you, maximum pressure goes nowhere.”

Tehran has a “active plan” to thwart President Donald Trump’s “maximum pressure” campaign, according to Mohajerani, the spokesperson for Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Trump’s Maximum Pressure Campaign “will get nowhere,” Mohajerani cautioned.

Speaking to reporters at the presidential residence, she claimed that Iran had foreseen Trump’s adoption of such a strategy against the Islamic Republic.

“The administration is working to strengthen the economy. With the help of the public, we will overcome these challenging circumstances.

“Compared to previous decades, the private sector and the industry sector are in a much better position. Our knowledge-based companies are very active,” she said.

In order to counteract the impacts of the maximum pressure policy, she also stated that the Pezeshkian government is concentrating on the capabilities of the private sector, internal capacities, and relations with neighboring nations.

She emphasized that Iranians are men of negotiation and will not be intimidated.

Trump pledged last week to reinstate the “maximum pressure” strategy he employed against Iran during his first term in office.

Trump withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA, nuclear agreement with Iran in May 2018.
