    Salome Adaidu’s alleged murderer Ajayi Timiley pleads not guilty

    Salome Adaidu’s alleged killer, Timileyin Ajayi, has entered a not guilty plea to the charge.

    On Monday, he was arraigned before Justice Simon Aboki at the High Court of Justice, Lafia.

    The suspect entered a not guilty plea to the charge during arraignment.

    He is charged with one crime of culpable homicide, which is punished by death in accordance with Northern Nigeria’s Penal Code, Section 221.

    The decapitated head of Salome Adaidu, a member of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, was discovered in the suspect’s hands.

    He had confessed to the murder, saying he killed Adaidu after he found out she was having an affair.
